Ferda [Sesame] Boys: A Transmasc Sketch Comedy Table Reading

  • L'Étage 1988 Rue Sainte-Catherine E #201 (map)

Step into the writer's room for Ferda [Sesame] Boys, a new sketch comedy series written ferda boys (hint: check your T vial's ingredients!). These skits centre transmasc characters, turning lived experiences into comedy gold. Watch actors bring these fresh-off-the-keyboard sketches to life in this table reading, then join our feedback session to help shape the laughs.

From menstrual cup chaos in the men's room to magical passing pants, these sketches explore those moments of grappling with transness and masculinity where you just have to laugh. You'll witness:

  • The hilarity of hooking up and packers getting in the way

  • The world's most enthusiastically trans-inclusive doctor

  • A cis man who's suspiciously interested in his roommate’s T changes

  • The adventures of a packer with a mind of its own

  • Gym bros debating on the best way to train on dick day

  • Plus, the infomercial you never knew you needed for a product to learn to walk like a man!

Created by transmasc comedy writer Charlie Morin-Fournier, these sketches are destined for the screen. Come help us workshop the funny! Free admission with snacks!

Note: The event will be filmed for documentation purposes, with a focus on the actors. Camera-shy? Let us know for no-filming seating.

All are welcome – trans folks, bring your insights; cis folks, come watch, learn, and laugh!

We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
